Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeremy Barber threw himself into graffiti at a young age. By 1989-1990 he was totally immersed and dedicated to it. In 1995 he went in search of an apprenticeship in tattooing and was accepted by Cleen Rock One after meeting at a tattoo convention in Chicago. Seeing the many commonalities between the two art forms he dove right in.
Ever since, Barber has been very careful not to pigeon-hole himself into one set style and has continued to explore many different forms of media. Also a talented musician he has combined his love of music with his skills as an accomplished graphic designer and works for a little company called Warner Bros., designing shirts and tour posters for Mastodon. As a tattoo artist he has become versatile in many different styles, being able to tackle whatever style his clients come to him for. As a painter he works in watercolor, acrylic and spray on a number of surfaces. Based in St. Louis, you can find him working at Iron Age Tattoos. Barber also loves giraffes. contact: http://www.myspace.com/jrmybrbr To see the Gallery of Barber's work click here. |
